About Parker Web

First, the Terrible Truth About Web Maintenance

There’s a terrible truth within the “traditional” web design industry that most companies (i.e., clients of web firms) are unaware of or discover too late in the process:

Web maintenance work doesn’t pay.

The reality is, most web design firms are great at the front-end design and development process, and lousy at doing back-end maintenance work efficiently. In short, they are focused on landing new projects and completing them as quickly as possible, so they can move on to the next big assignment. (We know this, because we used to do web design ourselves, and now provide maintenance services to many web design firms!)

Unfortunately for clients of web design firms, maintenance requests are mostly unpredictable, and largely unprofitable. As a result, web designers and developers scramble to handle calls for help, putting them in a growing list of projects that take a back seat to other, more “important” work in progress. Or worse, they drop what they are doing to service you, then sock you with an inflated invoice for their time.

After recognizing this dilemma, we resolved to find a better way for our customers.

Introducing A Better Model For Managing Your Website

With Parker Web, now you can get your website changes made fast, with friendly service and at a predictable price. No more waiting for weeks, arguing with a web developer or wondering how big your invoice will be.

We offer several month-to-month pricing plans to fit any budget. What’s more, we let our customers “bank” any unused hours. So you’ll never pay for service you don't get. And your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Because we specialize in web maintenance-and not web design-we have dedicated resources and a proven process to manage our clients’ needs efficiently. As a result, they are happy while we happily do our work-a true win/win scenario.

Our Background

Darryl Parker

Founded in 1997, Parker Web has worked in the Internet since our inception. In late 2008, we shifted our focus to servicing existing websites by working closely with interactive agencies, website managers and business website owners to achieve their maintenance and marketing objectives. This focus has allowed Parker Web to be more available and more responsive to the frequent tasks required in the regular use of the web as a marketing and operational tool.

  • November 2010 - Parker Web makes Top 30 web site firms in Charlotte. What? Did you think this was just a top 25 list? The Charlotte Business Journal noted companies who just missed the list. After 6 years of appearing and with a new business model that focuses on long term relationships versus short term individual new site builds, we didn't generate enough individual new sites to remain on the top 25. Guess what? We're ok with that. We made a quality versus quantity decision in 2008 and it has been a pivotal point in our growth in a down economy. We did let the CBJ know they may want to change their thinking on how they rank this list considering our revenues and client counts put us easily in the top 10 of local firms. ;)
